Ladies with KNIVES (Patreon)

Hope you are having a nice weekend so far <3 I've got a bit of a themed post for you all today. I've really been feeling the colors black and red lately, so much that they've largely infiltrated my wardrobe and dominate the clothing that I wear. I just find the contrast between them rather striking and ~dramatic~ and I am here for that.

I designed a new character this week (above). Her name is Noora and her dog's name is Nova and they are both very cool and kickass forces. Plus Noora's got a cool sword which she uses to defeat Bad Dudes and protect those in trouble. It's clear I don't have a fully fleshed out and in-depth backstory for her just yet, but I quite like her design and want to continue exploring her character. I even found some red scratch paper and drew a few sketches so I could get a better feel of her stature.

Continuing the theme of girls with weapons....have any of you seen the new season of Samurai Jack? I didn't watch the original series as a kid, but I saw the first few episodes of the newest season recently and WOW I'm blown away by it. The colors, the design, the story, the characters, all of it, so incredibly COOL. But most importantly? Ah yes, the Daughters of Aku. I know they're the main antagonists, but my gosh it's so hard not to root for them! Since they all wear the same outfit in the show, I wanted to take a crack at giving them different styles. 

Drawing seven characters in one piece was exhausting I'll admit, but it worked out in the end! I was originally going to draw them with their unique weapons, but couldn't find any source material on the subject so went with knives instead. If anyone knows which weapon belongs to who please share that info with me!
