Welcome back, hope your weekend is going well so far! I've got a new art piece to share with you that is actually a part of my 2017 monthly postcard series. To explain, I make a drawing every month that I mail to my $10 patrons as limited edition postcards! (If you're interested, you can find past postcards here: January , February , and March )

This month I tried something new to shake things up a bit! The theme of this series is headphones. I still wanted to incorporate a sweet pair, but also tried to switch up the composition and add more visual interest. I've been in a very summer-y mood as of late and have been loving warm colors. Warm colors in general are my jam, I think it's in my blood as a Leo/August baby haha. I used a warm color palette with saturated tones to help bring out that bright and summery feeling. I've always been a fan of vintage ads and tried adding a vintage feel to this postcard with the lettering and decorations. It was fun trying something new and taking this series in a new direction. Now I feel more inspired than ever to push the box with these pieces! :)
