Mini D.Va sketch dump! ^o^/ (Patreon)

I've got some fun art to share with you all today. :D It's no secret that D.Va is one of my favorite (if not THE favorite) characters from Overwatch and I've been exploring her style and personality with some different pieces! It's all quite colorful so if you're feeling down I hope it can brighten your day if just a bit! :D 

In the above piece I drew D.Va in the TT pose. If you're thinking "What in tarnation is a TT?..." it's a popular emoticon used in South Korea on social media and in gaming. It's similar to T_T or TT_TT and basically signifies someone crying with tears streaming down their face. Kpop group TWICE even have a song all about it ! I thought it'd be cute to draw D.Va doing the pose since it blends both her South Korean and gaming background. :D

I also drew a GG piece to accompany TT hehe.  There isn't really a pose that is associated with GG (a gaming term meaning good game) so I went with a cute peace sign and "Winky face!" which is one of her voice lines in-game. ^_^

I also drew a couple fashion-forward D.Vas. While I love their official costumes, it's always fun to draw the Overwatch heroes in something more everyday. I think it's an interesting opportunity to delve into their actual character's interests and tastes. It's also good practice for character exploration! If you're ever feeling stuck or don't know what to draw try drawing one of your favorite characters in different types of clothing! :D It helps you ask questions like "What colors/textures/cuts/styles would this character wear and WHY?".
