I hope you’ve been well! :D<3 I’m happy to share that we’re 10 days into the new year and my ‘draw every day’ mantra has been holding up well! I definitely feel more comfortable with drawing now then I ever did in 2018 so that’s been a welcome change. It's nice not feeling so afraid anymore when I see a blank page. If anything I feel excited about the chance to draw! *w* Also I think I fail more confidently now? It feels weird to associate failure with confidence, but I think it makes sense because the only way you can succeed is if you try in the first place. And trying usually ends up in one or two ways, succeeding or failing. So looking at it purely in those terms, the more you try the more you fail and the more you succeed.* ;D

*Success btw is whatever you want to define it as. In my case I define success as simply drawing something each day, so as long as I’ve done that I count that as a win! ^^

I like to do practice sketches as warm ups or for when I just don't know what to draw. Usually it gives me momentum to draw something more complicated or creative! :D Plus it's great practice!

Been making a habit to jot down thumbnails for more intricate drawings as they come into my mind. I usually think about them and forget them in the next moment, but I think it's important to make note of these ideas even if I don't want to fully flesh them out in that exact moment. I can always come back to them and this way I'm more likely to draw things that are more challenging!

Learning how cakes work (you'd be surprised at the sheer amount of layers cakes have)! Also thinking of desserts for a Dva-themed cafe? o.o I'd like to do more Overwatch desserts now that I think about it...

Diamond and Bort! I recently started watching Houseki no Kuni and I really like these two! ; ; 

 Some traditional sketches! I really like drawing in pen because it gives me the opportunity to focus on linework and form. Using non-erasable pen also makes you more aware of what you're drawing. ^^;;
