♥ WEEKLY SKETCHDUMP ♥// Must...Draw....BACKGROUNDS (Patreon)

How have you been? I hope you're enjoying your summer! ^-^ I'm leaving for Austin, Texas tomorrow for a small vacation and I'm really excited to explore the city for the first time and see what it has to offer. :D Also I'm purposely posting this sketchdump on a Monday so I can get back on my regular schedule. I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to play catchup these past few months and decided to just have a fresh reset instead. xD 

That being said, we've got a big sketchdump ahead of us so strap in and let's do this thing! :3

Above: I started playing Nier Automata last week and wow, I'm already in love with 2B??? She's sooo badass, getting to play as her is absolutely wild and so fun. Also I think it's an indisputable fact that she has a very nice booty. 

Did a lot of traditional art this week (as you'll see later on). Drew two of my fav girls~ (　´ ∀｀)

Had a lot of fun playing around with the Pastel Girl app and ended up making a new OC! She cleans up debris among the stars and from her gatherings creates living dust bunnies! It's just an idea so far, even I can barely make sense of it haha

Ah, backgrounds, a tough spot for many artists myself included. For a long time I've hoped for a way to magically get better at backgrounds without actually putting in the work. Turns out, there's really no other way to improve than to just practice. xD So! No more excuses! Just gotta do it! 

Did the above three traditionally with ink. I used the Pilot G-2 07. It's a really nice pen, even ink flow that comes out relatively thick. Keeps me from overthinking my strokes.

Tifa and Lightning from Final Fantasy! Oh gosh, drawing Tifa really brings me back to middle school when FF7 was in its absolute heyday. Feels really nostalgic to draw her~

Polish/Lithuanian Hussar armor! This is the first time in my life I've seen this type of armor, I'm seriously blown away by how magnificent it looks! *O* Not entirely sure what purpose those feathers serve but...it looks really cool???
