☆AUGUST POSTCARD + STICKER ☆// Childhood dreams~ (Patreon)

How are you doing today? ovo I hope you've been well~ Now that we've entered a new month, it's time to share the pieces I've made for August! Since it's my birthday month, I really wanted to embrace my interests and compound them into these drawings. Cats, primary colors, food, and fun patterns are all things I find myself particularly drawn to and I thought it'd be neat to see all of them together in one image. :D It feels different from a lot of the soft artwork I've been making lately and I like that I got to shake things up. ^^ 

These are the first full pieces I've done in clip studio paint. Above is the postcard for August! I love the variety of brushes. They've really encouraged me to experiment with mark-making and be more bold with my strokes! The calligraphy brush was especially useful in getting strong, energetic lines that give this piece its edge. 

I particularly love tigers. I think they're so powerful, fierce, and beautiful at the same time with their lovely pattern of stripes. I love the idea of this girl being connected to and respected by tigers, in a sense sharing their power.  Neither rules over the other, they coexist in harmony and understanding of each other. 

For the sticker I wanted to keep exploring similar themes. I really enjoyed playing around with pattern and balancing the chaos of the foreground and background with different colors. I'm really happy with how these pieces turned out. They feel like a part of me, energy and interest combined into tangible forms. They feel like something I would've drawn when I was much younger and for some reason that feels beautiful to me, as if I'm finally starting to embrace my true self. ˚✧₊⁎( ˘ω˘ )⁎⁺˳✧༚
