❤ WEEKLY SKETCHDUMP ❤// back to basics~ (Patreon)

Hope you had a lovely weekend! I got to spend time at the beach and decompress now that Mermay is over. It was amazing, there were dogs everywhere running around being carefree and enjoying life, it just made me feel like everything was going to be okay~ 

I've switched it up for this week's sketchdump and gone the traditional route. I've found that drawing with a ballpoint pen has sped up my process and increased the quantity of my drawings simply because I can't erase. I used to feel inhibited by that fact, afraid that I would mess up, but I'm finding it quite freeing these days because it just keeps me in the moment and allows me to keep drawing with little resistance. It's making me more interested in other traditional mediums as well, like acrylic and watercolor. I'm going to practice painting acrylic landscapes this week so you can look forward to that in next week's sketchdump. :D

But let's focus on this week's drawings first! （*’∀’人）♥

Above: A couple of witches and their cats! I've been in a very fantasy mood lately and wanted to try my hand at some designs. Also, working with markers is fun because I get to experiment with colors that I tend to stray from. I'm really feeling that mint green....

More fantasy sketches! Middle two characters inspired by Dark Souls (that game has some insanely cool designs??).

A couple of video game characters (can you recognize them?) and some Classic/Iconic Britney Spears looks! I was practically sobbing while listening and watching her old MVs for reference because the nostalgia hit me so strong. 

Magician Symmetra and Sarah from Labyrinth! I'm always so happy whenever Symmetra gets a new skin and I've wanted to draw Sarah's dress since forever so now's as good a time as any. :D

A mini Cardcaptor Sakura! I can't believe I still haven't watched this show and yes I give you all permission to yell at me to watch it. Continuing the theme of nostalgia I ended up sketching Ranka and Sheryl while listening to Macross Frontier songs. TT_TT
