❤ WEEKLY SKETCHDUMP ❤ // 2018 is the year of trying new things! (Patreon)

Hope your Monday is going well so far~ I had a refreshing weekend and am ready to work hard this week. :D I don't have any specific art goals for 2018 other than to continually experiment and try new things. I've been playing around with traditional mediums such as gouache and acrylic, which has been such a fun experience. I'm keeping those pieces off the internet for the time being since its been nice making art that isn't intended for an audience other than myself. I think it's allowed me more creative freedom that in turn feeds and nourishes the art that I share with you all. ^^<3 With that being said let's get on into the sketchdump!

I have been trying to focus more on detail lately, which is something I tend to feel too impatient for. It's been good though, taking my time with pieces instead of rushing through them to get to the next one. I feel like I really get the chance to flesh out artwork in the way that I want. :D

Ok, so I have something to say about these pieces. Kpop musician Sunmi recently released a new single and MV called Heroine (watch it here) and I...have been obsessed with it ever since. I've been listening to the song on repeat ever since it came out last week and just love her aura and energy??? I rarely feel captivated by performers, but she carries this raw intensity in all her movements that is difficult to ignore. Long story short I think she is very cool. :)

Ahh, one of my favorite cartoon couples: Marceline and Princess Bubblegum! I don't think I've ever drawn fanart of them before so I'm making up for the clear grievance now.
