I may or may not be obsessed with '50s D.Va... (Patreon)

Welcome back to my Patreon and happy Monday! ^-^ I know the feed has been saturated with D.Va lately, but my friends, I genuinely cannot stop thinking of her new Cruiser skin. Remember how I said I started getting a lot of ideas when I thought about 1950s D.Va? Well, I took those ideas a step further and started drawing some sketches. There's just so many more possibilities now regarding her character and it's really cool? In the above image I tried emulating vintage Coke advertisements and drew her as a classic pin-up-esque character. I think it's particularly fitting since according to fan canon she technically loves drinking soda haha. ;D 

So far I've mainly focused on the fashion aspect of it since I've always been interested in fashion, 50s styles included. 

Like imagine D.Va as a teeny bopper! Or as a greaser!

I also drew her in some other fun '50s fashions that I thought would fit her personality. 

I just think she looks really cute in '50s styles! Now if Blizzard came out with an '80s themed D.Va skin I'd probably just about die. 

It's been awhile since I've been involved in a fandom (last was Steven Universe ~2 years ago? phew I'm rusty) and I'm rediscovering how fun it is! I think it's special when you enjoy a character to the point where you're interested in crafting new realities for them and exploring their humanity. I think Blizzard has created something very precious and am incredibly excited to see how they continue to improve and develop their heroes.
