Hello, everyone!

I'm thinking about putting the start of Shadow of the Soul King out on Kindle Unlimited at some point in the near future and the thing I'm most worried about is the cover.

Does anyone have any artists they particularly like who they think would be able to make a good cover?

The main image in my mind for book 1 would be a picture of Mila dying from a gunshot wound in the backseat of a car superimposed over the US Capitol exploding, but I'd also love other ideas as well.

Thanks to anyone who comments on this in advance!

I think that a cover that depicts a modern building with the current title won't impy correctly that this is a fantasy story, sure you have things that happen on earth and it is mc's hub world but the story doesnt focus on earth. Maybe make a cover of the inheritence room where the possesion attempt happens? Either the standoff between everyone iniside/outside, or the possesion attempt itself i think would make good covers

That would be book 2 or three. For book 2, I was thinking of the scene where the undead have captured Aalam and there are several wolves holding onto him with their teeth. You have a good point about needing to it's a fantasy story, however.

maybe Mila stealing souls? A marketable cover might be a succubus stealing a soul perhaps her doing something tricksy or making em sign a contract idk? then a shadowy Alan on a throne? Not explicitly a scene from the story but more evocative.

I'm digging the idea of: Background of image: rainbow colored crown/wings dominating the page, mostly bright colors. Foreground: in the corner/front a shadow appears to be sneaking across with golden eyes. It's simple, mysterious, connects to the title, and says 'fiction' more than 'spy thriller'.

That would be cool for say book 10. This cover would be for book 1, covering the first 32 chapters only. The concept, though, might be a good idea, with variations for each book.
