Yeah, it is that realization that if 14 people are missing, its too late. Jakarta was the largest flour mill in the world at that time. By the time the fungus made the leap from the flour to people and then was noticed by the government, it was already in product that was processed and being shipped around the world. That is why that flashback was only a couple days before the absolute chaos broke out in Texas in episode one. It was already out there. It interesting watching the reactions of folks who also have some familiarity with the game. I love seeing the deviations and ways they are looking to try to expand the story to fit the television medium.
