Did you hear this theory yet? So apparently the location at the start of this episode is really the worlds largest flour manufacturer and 2003 was the hottest year on earth. So when it broke out there 2 days before it hit Texas in episode one….basically because Joel didn’t eat waffles for breakfast, didn’t get a cake, didn’t eat the neighbors biscuits or cookies he dodged the infection in the flour. If that’s true my mind is blown

Yeah, the scientist lady in the first few minutes (the mycologist) said the flour was the perfect substrate. Remember the old lady was being fed biscuits by that dude in ep 1? Who got infected first in that episode? That's right, the old lady.
