Update: so yeah I did not know hat/leg slot hides the forelock/leg feathers respectively. Scrapping the idea for 3D embellishments as a separate accessory. Likely, I'll do a combination of both 2D and 3D, ie I'll do some as 2D and also some with the 3D already built in. When those are ready, they’ll become Build-a-Bridle options. Thanks for the input!
I've gotten a lot of good answers from my Build-a-Bridle. I've noticed a few things are requested frequently. So I'm starting two polls to determine what's the preferred way to make it happen.
First is the embellishment poll. By this I mean browband studs and Western bling.
Here's the issue: the 2D area I have to work with is tiny. Which means anything I add as a texture is severely stretched or pixelated. I have two options in mind.
Option 1: Create 3D embellishments (preferred)
Pros: no need to re-download past bridles. SC will not have to make new bridle maps.
Cons: takes up another slot in CAS (likely "hat" slot or unicorn horn [a mod to get rid of the unicorn sparkle would be needed which is available]). Untested as of now; might take longer to make.
Option 2: Re-map the bridle to allow better 2D texturing
Pros: no extra CAS slot taken and no need to stack another accessory. Can, in theory, be done faster and is easier for others to edit the textures themselves.
Cons: This still doesn't help with everything. I could swap the browband and noseband map but that wouldn't help stretching on the Western bridles. You'd also have to re-download old bridles since new swatches and/or a new map would be added.
