I think this gets commented every time someone watches this but the actress that plays Yue actually voices a character in Legend of Korra. I believe the creators really liked her in the movie so they cast her in Korra.

Man the plot doesn’t make sense at all on this movie. From names pronounced dumb af, the random jump cuts between scenes, and the dumb Change in settings. Like the earth bender prison was on a metal boat in the water. Not on earth where they can just freely bend. Sokka doesn’t have his boomerang, the whole Katara and Aang meeting is historic. Like Gran Gran doesn’t tell them he’s a airbender, and the avatar. Also where was the avatar state at for when Aang tried escaping zukos boat. Eastern air temple was changed for some reason. Instead of us meeting that crippled kid and his father. They do the blue spirit story. We never got the scene of Iro telling zuko that he thought of him as his own son. No master Paku and Katara. Man I can right a whole essay on why this movie is generally the worst animated to live action project ever.

Also want to say, it is awesome to see you talking about the first season in a much more positive way. The only really good thing that I feel came from this movie was that it made me appreciate the animated series so much more.

The whole movie is a matter of tell, not show. It’s all described to us through exposition instead of allowing us to see what’s happening and feel the reaction of the characters.

I'm sorry this is to cringe for me, but I'm not going to lie, when I was in middle school and saw the trailer of ovatar ong airbending in the temple surrounded my candles. It hyped me up and I low-key like the tattoo design

People hate this adaptation so much because it's just OK. all they needed to do was follow the original and they would have made the fanbase happy. I would physically cringe when they said the names wrong... and 5 people bending one stone was hilarious.

Yes. It's not a good movie, but to pivot to something positive, I actually really enjoy the musical score for this film. I put "Flow like Water" into my favorite film soundtracks playlist, and I always play it all the way through when it comes up.
