The purgil are the reason they are able to travel through hyperspace, thousands of years ago people developed hyper drives and wayfinders by studying the purgil. It’s a great piece of Star Wars lore

Jamaal Ellison

The starcluster scene reminded me of something out of Battlestar Galactica especially with the score.

JazzKane

Maybe it's just on my end but the audio sounds a little jacked up on this one hahah

I think one of the reasons that I like 'Rebels' a lot is that it feels very serialized in nature, similar to how George Lucas designed the original trilogy. What's exciting about the show is that you never know what you're going to get with each entry. 'The Clone Wars' was similar in that way, only it was done in arcs as opposed to individual episodes. There's a lot more that I want to say regarding this, but that would be spoiling future episodes so I'll just leave it at that for now.

Jake Rush

This is a weird spot because they teased us with the Ahsoka/Vader stuff and so you are disappointed that you didn’t get any of that, however, these episodes are still pretty good so even though your disappointed you still like them😂

Jacob Ember

Dude, you worded this perfectly. We're in a weird area in the show's run for sure. I desperately want to say more on the matter, but I can't due to spoilers.

Frederik Jensen

The next 2 episodes of MWW Rebels are going to be juicy. Did I use juicy correctly? Question: Has the editor watched Rebels?

Ruben VL

I can understand the criticism. I remember being ok with season 1 and 2 but didn't find it special (except s2 finale, that was always great). When I re-watched it with a friend a couple years later I was actually surprised I liked it better after the rewatch.

Jacob Ember

Same here! It took me re-watching the show on Disney Plus years later to realize that I actually really enjoyed it.

Patrick Pugh

All of these episodes have little bits that become bigger bits. So yes they seem like passing storylines, but it builds from here.

Can you post a Full Reaction to Twilight of the Apprentice? It’s epic.

because Bo Katan and Ahsoka brought Republic troops to invade Mandalore to capture Maul, once Order 66 happened and the Empire rose, Mandalore was under imperial occupation. Many Mandalorians agreed to serve the Empire for self-preservation. Concord Dawn was also the group Jango Fett was originally a part of before he agreed to be the donor for the Clones.

Jedi Mandalore (Dylan)

The Protector of Concord Dawn: That very cool ship being flown by The Mandalorian is a Kom'rk-class fighter/transport, also known as the Gauntlet starfighter first appearing in the Clone Wars episode The Mandalore Plot. We also saw one in The Mandalorian Season 2 in the final episode just in the background, positive we also saw some in the Civilian Fleet in Rise of Skywalker. The other episodes are really fun coming off as filler but of course it's Rebels so everything builds to something. I'm excited for the final episodes of Season 2 and of course Season 3 and my personal favourite Season 4.

These episodes may seem like a more relaxed stretch, but rest assured, Filoni often draws on elements established in “filler” later in the series. Really, they won’t seem like filler on later reflection. It’s worth taking a moment to take inventory of h]what we;be seen of Mandalorians this far. Jen commented that she was surprised to see “bad” Mandalorians working for the empire, but it really shouldn’t be: in Clone Wars, Mandalore was neutral. It’s leader, Satine, was a pacifist that tolerated Kenobi for personal reasons. The terrorist Mando group was actively trying to turn the planet back to a military power and teamed initially with Dooku to achieve their goals. They eventually team up with Maul, form a crime syndicate, retake the planet, and that mess ensues. In Mandalorian, we learn that the post-Clone Wars, the planet has fared poorly. Even our hero, Din Djarin, is neutral for most of the time. He does good, but on largely on his own. As a whole, the Mandalorians are a chaotic 3rd party that occasionally finds itself working with other actors. We got a significant reveal of Sabine’s backstory, as well - she identified as a true, born Mandalorian, forged her own armor, as part of House Wren, Clan Vizsla. The other Protectors recognize her family as part of Death Watch. This means Sabine’s family was part of a terrorist group, something worth exploring later. Space whales…are gonna space whale.

There's also a bit of character development for Ezra in the purrgil episode. We further see and understand that he has a unique connection to other living creatures through the Force, kind of like the connection with the fyrnocks that he makes in season one. I believe at one point Kanan even notices these connections and points it out. As Obi-Wan said in 'A New Hope,' "The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together." I personally think that this episode really helps showcase the binding (that Obi-Wan was talking about) of the different creatures present in the galaxy through the Force whereas usually it is used mainly to showcase the powers of the Jedi and the Sith. 'Rebels' as a whole really expands on what the Force is (at least for me it did) without tearing away the mystery of it all. It's a hard line to stay on, but I think that this show does it quite well.

Anthony Daramola

Just like in Avatar where Aang grows through the seasons, Ezra also grows up throughout the course of the show. I think you’ll like seeing that progression

Jacob Plourde

The only Mandalorians that don’t take off their helmets are the members of Mando’s cult, The Children of the Watch who haven’t appeared outside the Mandalorian and the Book of Boba Fett. Any other Mandalorians will be fine taking off their helmet. Do you remember, Death Watch (The Mandalorian terrorist organization) and the Pacifist Mandalorian government from the Clone Wars.

John Pryor

The youtube channel Generation Tech has a good episode breaking down the cost of common ships in Star Wars.

Matthew Juttner

Pretty sure. The editor notes throughout have seemed like he has knowledge of whats to come. Maybe not and that's why Devin is giving his comments too.

Frederik Jensen

Personally, knowing what is coming, I would have changed what was shown at the end of The Call. Holden and Jenn won't be confused but people that haven't watched Rebels before this react series might.

Michael Goggin

There was a question of who was "in charge," and whether it was Kanan or Hera. Hera has always been "in command" on the Ghost, and she's "in command" as part of the Rebellion. She defers to Kanan on occasion like a good leader does, but if there's a question of who's "in charge" then it's definitely Hera. The book A New Dawn is canon and explains the nature of their relationship and how they met. While not important to the greater story, it DOES provide some context and nuance.

Dylan Palama

When you guys are done with season 2 you sshould react to “Chosen one” by Hero fan productions. I know it’s not something you normally react to but it’s so good and I really think you’ll like it.

Franz

All these side episodes are important. Nothing is filler.

i like all creation of MedeRecord but its full of spoilers on Rebels so after Rebels i would like to see their reaction on this videos too :)

Jason Jeffory

Why is it the episodes that I’m looking forward to the most, are the ones that get delayed? Lol
