Ralph Fiennes actually pronounces it Rayf. “I’m Ernst Stavro Blofled”. No reaction to the Blofeld reveal? Are you not familiar with the Connery movies?

Yes! BBC Sherlock please! Gives plenty of British accent opportunities and just a brilliant show overall.

The net is for catching debris because the building is extremely damaged. They should have still broken a few bones though.

For me Spectre ranks low on the Craig movies, but still pretty high for Bond movies in general. I've seen all the Bond movies and even read the original Fleming novels. I really think the characterization of Bond is just far better in the Craig movies. Roger Moore movies lean too far into camp, Pierce Brosnan does as well, but his movies are more watchable for me personally. The director of Casino Royale also did Pierce Brosnan's Goldeneye which is ranked very high for Bond movies I think. My ranking for Craig's films from best to worst are: Skyfall, No Time To Die, Casino Royale, Spectre, and Quantum of Solace.

I did enjoy it better on this viewing but the idea that Blofeld was the source of everything for Bond's troubles was not part of the original plan for the Craig films and it shows. Since they got the rights to use Blofeld (which is a legendary Bond villain) they tried to tie up all of the previous movies but didn't work that well. Also the whole movie had a weird sepia tone going on and the Mexico scene was basically what all of the memes are about where movies showing Mexico always has a yellow/orange/smoky hue even though it's not actually real. Bond and Madeline don't work as well for the romance aspect and that hurts the film as it doesn't get established very well, it felt thrown together. Also, Bond screaming about not showing the film to her of her father killing himself seemed really over the top for Bond and out of character.

Not sure why you have not reviewed Andor yet. This Star war's series is a masterpiece. Perhaps you are saving it for the future when other things dry up.
