This film definitely has flaws but it’s still a solid entry in the franchise. Hopefully he becomes more his own hero in the next one.

You’re not wrong about Spider-Man 2 being the best Spider-Man movie. I enjoy the director’s 2.1 version a little better, but still, awesome movie.

I gave my opinion on the different Spider-Men before on the Homecoming video so I won’t go into it again in detail but in a nutshell, Toby McGuire is still my least favorite Spider-Man. Movie quality aside and going strictly by how the character was portrayed I felt that each time a new actor played Spider-Man we got closer and closer to what Spider-Man was like in the comics (at least the ones I grew up with). Teenager Spidey was always my favorite and Tom Holland portrays that perfectly. I disagree with Spider-Man 2 being the best Spider-Man movie. Personally, I don’t rank things in best and worst categories because that’s always subjective. I like to do favorite and least favorite because I feel like that’s a more fair ranking system. The Raimi trilogy was good but I don’t think they were as good as people made them out to be. I really enjoyed this movie and while the Mysterious twist was done very well, I think for fans of the comics it didn’t really surprise us. That’s probably my only criticism with the movie but I realize it was most likely done for new viewers, younger fans or people who have no knowledge of the comics. In that sense it was done very well. I can’t really say much about my thoughts on the other aspects of the movie such as the Skrulls and Nick Fury’s location at the end since they would contain spoilers for the Phase 4 stuff that’s already out. Granted, they would only be references but I don’t want to spoil anything for Jen. Even if it’s something minuscule I’m not going to mention it. Hopefully I’ll remember when Jen is caught up. Also, I’m glad that Holden gave Andrew Garfield some love, however small it was, because for years I felt that he was the target of a lot of unfair criticism from fans. I’m also looking forward to Black Widow. I’m probably going to pay the $30 to watch it on Disney+. Holden, I don’t know if you’re aware of this but just in case you’re not, even though Black Widow is being released in Phase 4 it technically takes place during Phase 3. Scarlett Johansson confirmed herself that the Black Widow movie takes place AFTER Civil War and BEFORE Infinity War. That means we’ll get to see what she was doing during that time.

This was so fun to watch! I really enjoy Tom Holland's Spider-Man. To me growing up Spider-Man wasn't college age/older. So this Spider-Man really encompasses the Spider-Man I related too growing up. And I hope they keep Holland because he can literally 'grow' into college/adult Spider-Man. I'm so excited for more!

I agree that each Spider-Man has its plusses and minuses, but ultimately I love them all. The Amazing Spider-Man movies don't get enough love though.
