French person here, this movie is very critized here (and somehow I hope other countries) for being too much american centered but I don't care, this movie will always have a special place in my heart because it is one of the big summer blockbusters from my teenage years, and I loved it at this time and I still do and still will (smith, haha ^^)

its American centered because it was made in (by) Americans / an American company. had it been made by any other country it would be been just as centered on that country as it was in America.
