2024-02-19 13:45:37 Finally one of my favourite JJK characters Todo is here (His OST rocks)!! Also the way he keeps hyping up Okkotsu is so exciting because it makes you realize how OP Okkotsu has to be for a beast like Todo to want to go up against. Also we got some more information on Geto (the guy working with the special-grade curses): that he performed a terror attack one year prior to season 1, in which Todo exorcised a special grade by himself. Also, now you have met all of the characters shown in the ending: Todo and the "Blonde spectacled guy with Itadori at the cinema hall" were the ones missing so far.

Yeah the intro does change slightly as the first season progress, good on you for catching that. Also there's a lot of info in this episode that refers to things that happen in the movie. Even though the movie came out after season 1, in the original manga the events of the movie were actually the original work and Jujutsu Kaisen was a sequel to it. So it created a weird situation where season 1 expects you to understand references to the movie even though it hadn't been animated yet (episode 8 being the worst at this). So the stuff in this episode about Okkotsu and the events from last year will make sense when you watch the movie.

megumi is a second grade sorcerer in his first year not second year, and Todo is a first grade sorcerer and is a third year

ah.. okay - that's interesting. How does one determine their grade? I remember hearing "second grade" so in my head I put that with "second year" ... Thanks!! Super helpful

it’s covered slightly later on but it’s determined by the higher ups depending on how strong the sorcerer is and each sorcerer can increase their grade level through recommendation of peers. However only truly powerful and special/gifted people receive the special grade title. It’s also slightly covered in episode 4 if i’m not mistaken
