Keep in mind that if you look closely at the crows who delivered the news to each hashira they are adorned with the style of the hashira. Meaning that poor crow who was crying even though not styled like the flame hashira likely was Rengoku's personal crow. Also if you haven't yet I recommend watching Lisa perform Homura on The First Take youtube channel. it is very emotional.

Damn. No matter how much i rewatch this, always makes me cry. Rengoku is a role model, a precious man with an amazing heart. His smile while saying "I will fulfill my duty. I will not anyone here to die!" and Need that as a poster: https://imgur.com/a/HWya10J Rengoku died knowing he succeeded, he made his mom proud and protected the innocent. To see him die with that smile is just heartbreaking and bittersweet “Stand tall and be proud. No matter how weak or unworthy you feel, keep your heart burning, grit your teeth and move forward. flexie, there's no "right way" to say this without soudning horrible but, you are beautiful with your reactions, tears and all. I saw you trying to wave the tears away (good luck with that lol) but I just wanna say we appreciate your genuine and emotional reactions to one of the best movies ever made :) Thank you for including us as part of this experience. Many reactors try to hide their feelings and act stoik for no reason, when all of us, young and adult, men and women, reactors and watchers, have shed tears in this movie because it deserves those tears :)
