I love this ep, the Ian and Mick scenes are so good. I can’t wait to see your reaction to what’s going on with Ian and all the Ian and Mick stuff that happens this season is gonna be really fun to watch too.

“If it is your kid then it’s your fault.” It sort of… isn’t though, because Mickey wasn’t given a choice of having sex with Svetlana, much less whether or not he could use protection. It’s a very nuanced thing that the show doesn’t really address directly, but you can read it in the reaction that Mickey has toward the baby, and Noel’s acting (not wanting to be there for the birth, etc.). It’s very much a trauma response, but everyone else reads it as him being a d*ckhead as you said, because they don’t realize that the baby is a direct result (and a reminder) of his sexual assault, and current entrapment. At the same time, as Mandy points out, it’s not the baby’s fault. The baby is a completely innocent party in all this. And it’s not really Svetlana’s fault either, because she didn’t have much of a choice either, even if she’s now trying to make the best of her situation. So it’s an interesting morality question: what DOES Mickey owe Svetlana and their baby in this situation?

That is a very good point, I had totally forgot about the circumstances surrounding that whole situation, my bad! In that case I agree with it being an interesting question, I can totally understand Mickey's pov but like you pointed out with Mandy, it's not the baby's fault so overall it's just a really messed up situation to be in!
