More like MLKULTRA... King was an op, his assassination was faked, and he wasn't even really black (he was a white actor with a congenital skin condition). His oh-so-famous speeches were laden with hypnotic phrases which implant triggers into anyone who hears them. If you've ever heard a recording of MLK, you're dosed with fluoride, and you hear a certain code phrase, then you'll lapse into a suggestible trance state. It was all part of the FBI's plot to take control of American Catholicism. They wanted to create an 'Underpope' who secretly directed all political and religious activity in America on behalf of the Mormon Church. Charles Manson was secretly a Green Beret commando hand-picked by Truman and the Dulles brothers to act in this role, but the CIA created the Manson family in order to kidnap him from the underground Neo-Vatican dome and hold him hostage in California in order to sabotage the FBI's operation. MLK Jr. (or the actor who played him) was actually launched into space and buried in a suspended animation pod in the Moon. One day he will awaken and give a speech that turns all black Americans into brainwashed Catholic super-soldiers who will launch a Final Crusade to regain the Holy Land, and Jerusalem will become the seat of the American Catholic Church, which will ally with Mormonism against the Roman Catholic Church. The Roman Catholics will then form an alliance of convenience with Islam and Eastern Orthodoxy. This plan was all set into motion decades ago by the American intelligence agencies.

Chapo Trap House had an episode a few years ago where they interviewed a Brazilian journalist, who gave a better overview of the Lava Jato (this was shortly after Bolsanaro seized power). Obviously a lot has happened since then, but Brace & Liz don't really add much compared to what that guy explained back then.

I love the show, too, but, you're dead right. Aside from horrible, but forgivable mispronunciations, there's a lot of bad info and lack of understanding of Brazil, in this. First off, Dilma wasn't just some soft spoken, gentle, bureaucrat. She was a badass guerrilla during the dictatorship, usually responsible for weapons, and, later, a successful politician. She was famously, though, incorruptible, and thus the crazy smear campaign, because she was pretty much the only one everyone agreed was clean from lava jato. That leads to another fundamental misunderstanding in the episode. The politicians in Brazil don't run the media in Brazil. The media, fundamentally, Globo, is a willing partner, if not often leading the charge. They have been since the dictatorship. And, living in Brazil pre coup, the middle class didnt really hate Lula until after the arrest. They pretty much hated PT, but Lula was kind of separate. Post arrest, though, there was an active campaign with tshirts and stickers, seen on tons of cars, of Lula in an old fashioned prison outfit. That campaign was effective. Also, the president isn't automatically protected from investigation. They vote on that. They did that twice with Temer. There's a lot of other stuff missing that's missing from most media coverage of this stuff, like the way the right has mastered the use of whatsapp with insane misinformation groups. But pretty much nobody in the US talks about it, even though its been used by the right, successfully in Brazil, Italy, and India. I think it's a Bannon tactic.

Pedro Castillo ep when?

I am become reply guy

It seems to me the finacialization of the economic order that Liz mentioned is one of the greatest barriers to class consciousness. As long as a middle class feels like they’re winning in the casino of the ‘free market’ any overture towards reform will cause reactionary backlash. I think I’m becoming a Maoist.

I have proposed, in the past, that the JDPON should disperse the Amerikkkans throughout the Third World instead of allowing them to remain in occupied North America. Here are some of my reasons: 1) A geographic concentration of Amerikkkans would facilitate counterrevolution. It would also be difficult to exercise proletarian dictatorship over hundreds of millions of enemies: we would need to import a huge unproductive sector of police and such from the Third World. As a practical matter, it would be better to thin the Amerikkkans out, making them minorities in the Third World, where they could easily be controlled and supervised by the international proletariat. 2) Amerikkkans will need to undergo re-education. It would be very difficult to re-educate them in their own kkkountry. They need to be in a proletarian environment where they can learn from the masses. 3) There are land claims to settle, mainly for the First Nations, but also for Aztlán and perhaps the Black nation. Conceivably some other nations could be moved to North America if they wished to be, such as Nauru or the small nations in Ghana whose land has been ruined by imperialist corporations. Amerikkkans are going to have to move out of much of North America and make room for other nations. 4) Amerikkkan kkkulture is almost totally reactionary. There is little worth saving in Amerikkkan kkkulture. It would be better to force Amerikkkans to assimilate to the more culturally and politically advanced peoples of the Third World. There is also historic justice in forcing Amerikkkans to assimilate, just as they destroyed so many other nations and cultures. 5) In the early stages of socialism, the Third World will require skilled workers and technicians of various kinds, including medical personnel. These persyns are disproportionately concentrated in the First World. Moving them to the Third World will be a practical way to address an urgent need. 6) The Third World is also owed big reparations. An excellent way to make those reparations is to put Amerikkkans to work building infrastructure in the Third World: roads, housing, water supplies, sewage, electricity, telecommunications, schools. Amerikkkans can also work in Third World factories and fields to expand production for the benefit of the Third World. 7) Part of the process of civilizing and proletarianizing Amerikkkans will be putting them to productive work--for a change. Amerikkka has so little productive capacity that there may not be many ways to put all those people to work in occupied North America. They may have to go to the factories and fields of the Third World. 8 ) Amerikkkans will need to be reduced to a Third World standard of living. If they stay in occupied North Amerikkka, they will benefit from the vastly better infrastructure and all the stolen wealth that they currently hold. It would be better to move them to the Third World as a way of accelerating the process of re-education. 9) There are historical precedents for relocating large numbers of enemies. Millions of Germans were forced to move after the Soviet victory over fascism in World War II. Even enemies like the united $nakes and the "united" KKKingdom agreed that it was necessary to move Germans off land that was needed for Poles, Czechs, and others. Again, this is related to the national question of the First Nations, Aztlán, and the Black nation. Is this a good idea? What are its advantages and disadvantages? How can we improve upon it?

Great episode, if you get a chance I would love to hear you guys elaborate more on the social structures that were invented by the European bourgeoisie revolutions, and had to be imported into Brazil to grow on top of their slave society. That would be such a cool episode for someone like me with almost no understanding of actual political theory

Dracula with Swag

How have you still not done an MLK episode
