The thing with Roomba; it should be available for free to everyone and so everyone gets more free time. It’s unproductive labour which has become automated. Automated labour is supposed to give us all more free time to play in bands, or love, or write, or help other people etc. So automation isn’t the problem if everyone shares in the automation and it gives us more time to do our own shit. It’s a problem when labour is automated but some people are still exploited workers and some are capitalists, petit bourgeois etc, because capitalists and petit bourgeois can afford roombas but workers can’t.

It's just a blood pressure thing actually. THC lowers your blood pressure and for some people the effect is enough to make them pass out. Pretty benign side effect but if you're prone to it you should probably be seated when you 💨

Hi! Long time listener, first time caller. This episode was great. I think this whole topic is far more important than most realize. Hopefully this isn't overly rude, but I just wanted to self-promote a video game I'm working on called KOP KILLER 22XX about this very topic: https://twitter.com/morningstar_gs I think private defense forces full of these terminator motherfuckers will show up in our future far sooner than we think. surprised i didn't notice you mention the recent autonomous AI-controlled machine gun that israel started trialling on top of checkpoints in the west bank this year. they're always the first to test these things on palestinians before exporting to the rest of the world. just a giant robot machine gun with no human input trained permanently on the palestinians forced to queue there for hours as they try and get home from work or school travelling between their own damn towns
