Great episodes. I’m not sure if you’ve done a Mali or Sahel episode yet, but would be interesting to look into the proliferation of weapons that flooded that region when Libya fell, and the Tuareg mercenaries went home. Soon after Gadaffi died, a bunch of heavily armed Tuaregs took over half of Mali in a matter of weeks, and still essentially controls that area.

I feel like this episode is kind of a Hillary hate bandwagon thing. Hillary was a terrible person, an uninspired orator, extremely unlikeable and a clear neoliberal demon who hung out with Epstein but her fate after Benghazi was clearly a combination of right wing targeting and left wing scapegoating and to try to say she was directly responsible for anything rather than a figurehead they put there to take the heat ignores the reality of how the state department functioned. At the end of the day Im still like omfg who is Hillary Clinton and why are we still talking about her emails.

LIFG has a pretty spooky history with MI6 too. In '96 they were tapped to kill Gaddafi by blowing up his car in a parade but failed miserably at it, the Libyan government cracked down on and a bunch of their members basically ended up getting asylum in Britain. Two of those members were Ramadan Abedi and his wife, whose son Salman was fingered for the Manchester bombing at the Ariana Grande concert in 2017. I think Manchester was also home to Anas al Libi for a time, Al Qaeda's "brightest computer expert", and Abd al Baset Azzouz, a man touted for his bomb making abilities who apparently works for Ayman al-Zawahri last anyone heard.
