Where's the QAAAAANON RALLII?

Anonymous

brace we made a second discord server where we say mean things about u

A S

I thought this was about Ft. Hood for a second. Good to be reminded there's more than one base you get sent to be punished/killed.

Anonymous

is it bad that I immediately recognized the COD black ops music

features creatures

I thought you guys were right wing MAGA QAnon peePle now?

Fap

Who’s got the sexier voice, Chomsky or brace

X

Lol, this is really bizarre. I grew up in the area this all took place in. I live in the same county (Moore) as the place where the Dumas guy assaulted the woman with a sack of hamburgers. And yes, my father was a Green beret for 20+ years.

Jessica Rios

Brace just casually drops that he has smoked crack. I love that.

Anonymous

Sounds like they could’ve been cleaning house taking out Billy and Timothy. Top level operators openly disparaging military ops, manufacturing drugs, killing ppl, shooting up homes... damaged goods not worth the trouble maybe

Pug_luvr

That detail about LSD being the drug of choice for these Special Forces guys was chilling. Considering its use in MKUltra with the goal of developing it for mind control, to know that it is sloshing around in these circles carries frightening implications. Each operator is an expensive, sensitive asset. Wouldn't they have counterintelligence agents monitoring them? If they can trip on acid without being discovered and disciplined, are they being permitted to do so? These men do terrible, secret things. Their overseers must be very invested in controlling what they think, what they remember, how they act. Can we even be sure it's LSD they're taking? Are they bothering to use test kits before getting high? Is this a case of rogue troops partying with impunity, or are they being fed specially-engineered chemicals to medicate and manipulate them?

uya

he's talked about shooting meth several times on the show smoking crack is relatively tame lmao

my favourite MRR trope is the band just writing their own article out of whole cloth and framing it as an interview. kind of like a play

An old late friend of mine was a teenaged "ding boy" in a surf shop in Galveston, Texas in the early 1970s. (Surfboard repairman, for the uninitiated.) He once told me that one day these three or four dudes came swaggering in his shop looking for repairs on their boards and he said there was just something about them that set them apart -- square-jawed, crewc-cut jarheads, all-Americans. So my friend fixed up their boards and they came back to get them and again he was taken with their appearance, so different than the usual Texas slackers he'd been used to dealing with. "Who are y'all?" he asked them. "We're the Blue Angels," one of them said, referring to the Navy's elite jet stunt pilots. "We're doing a show up at Ellington Field." (The nearby military airfield; now a drone facility.) And the kicker: they paid my buddy with a block of hash and told him they were constantly stoned.

Jack Nancy

pretty sure that is gonna be on Andrew from Channel 5's (formerly All Gas No Brakes) platforms. If I was a guessing man.

Carine

Thanks for this ep - it was informative and truly frightening. Crush on Seth fully activated.

Brando

No, like you say...

David Smith

yungchomsky is my commander in chief

James Gonzales-Meisler

Makes me suspicious about the operators out there selling coffee

Kasz

Yung Chomsky what's your synth rig like?

Anonymous

Funny that lsd was their drug of choice. Psychedelics dissolve social hierarchies and power structures. Ever see the video of the British army soldiers on lsd? They abandon their mission and climb trees

TrueAnonPod

I didn’t record any music for this episode (it was Zola Jesus) BUT — sequential prophet 6, Roland JU-06A, Roland SH-01A, Novation Bass Station 2, Behringer Model D, MPC live 2, strymon blue sky, strymon timeline, soundcraft MTK12, reaper + various plugins

a clash of purple

Whose dumbass idea was it to have a standing army in peacetime anyway. Or theoretical peacetime, anyway. Why not have a jobs program just for serial killers where you pay them to do murders while you're at it.

a clash of purple

You know, I would think you can make a lot more money selling guns and drugs than you can selling coffee.

Mark Owen

Biker gang look - that's why Afghans call them "American Taliban"

ODA555

I bet a bunch of army guys are laughing at the description of the 82nd Airborne as "elite"

Featured artist rocks!

Why isn't there an extended cut of the theme song available anywhere?

Will N

Driving by fort bragg I always think about Ali Mohamed working for years there as a [supply sergeant] teaching language courses and giving special forces guys lectures on middle east history, then taking leave every once and a while to go fight Soviets in Afghanistan or give military training to the blind sheikh's followers

Woke Batou

Hollywood has been trying to tell us this for awhile. Hell, Sicario 2 is basically a Ft. Brag/cartel/Mexican police plot

cool that starship troopers is just real

Amazing episode...I've been wanting to hear more about this.

Maura Willey

i actually do the YouTube/cleaning the house thing, so cheers for that

When Brace gets quiet and serious and stops being a smart ass, that's when you know the guest is talking about the darkest of Dark Shit.

Lcfitz

Absolutely killer episode (no pun intended). Please do more like this. Loved the description of the operator wannabes. I live in coastal NC and this never made the news, and I assumed you guys were referring to the Ft. Bragg delta force murders of the wives (I’ll link an article). Shocked that this was so recent…the beheading was sad and it was never reported on in my area (right outside huge Marine Corps base) that’s home to their Tier 2 teams. Anywho…LOVE this podcast.

Lcfitz

Article I mentioned: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanityfair.com/news/2002/12/fortbragg200212/amp

Woke Batou

It's great learning about these things because they make you realize if there was ever a strong working class movement in this country they would send JSUC psychos to kill off a bunch of people. Hell, that's what the Mexican version was doing

Anonymous

How can we change Society when we have so much brutal force and control, on every level, arraigned against us?

Woke Batou

Also makes you realize why prior revolutionary regimes resorted to drastic measures. How violent would a leftist security apparatus have to be to curb these people's thirst for blood and power? Keep thinking about how Corbyn's people said they had no plan to deal with MI6

notadingdong

tbh the jewell/blart connection was my fav

5, 1, 6, 7, 3, 4, 8, 2 is the correct F&F ranking

Did not expect Liz to drag my boys Everclear like that smh

This is the best ep you all have done so far. Seth is an excellent storyteller—you can tell he’s a good journalist by the comprehensible way he walks us through the subject matter. Much easier to follow than the JFK episodes, which were a bit wandering and hard for me to follow. Please have him back on!

Nicholas CLARK

Crazy interesting episode and I’d love a TrueAnon deep dive into the cartels at some point - the Mérida Initiative and Plan Colombia provides such a horrifying point of investigation alone, given how deeply it all ties into the American mafia state. Tbh I mostly want to hear Spanish According To Brace

zzzzzzzzzqzqzqzqz

Another banger episode, but the people desperately need a review of the lab leak theory, which I assume is a limited hangout/shifting of blame for Covid onto the CCP to give the US leverage in case of a conflict over Taiwan. But the devil is in the details and that’s what you guys excel at. Thanks 🙏

Cameron Young

One of the best podcasts I’ve listened to. Is JSOC the dark psychic force that Marianne Williamson spoke about?

Samir Knox

Short Grenada story: my dad started high school in 1979 and they had this group of bullies on the Wrestling team called the “Dirty Dozen” who were a few years older than him and one of them ended up being one of the few people dying there. So there’s a memorial of him at their high school and all those kids got an early lesson in the futility of fascist capitalist wars.

X

Lol you’re in Wilmington

Fhjklmn bo

Yes and include the Bannon - Li Meng Yan camp. I can't figure out what the deal is with them.

bnlar

Hey I know you probably don’t read these much but we need you to cover the murder of another black man in Minneapolis. A federal/local North Star Fugitive Task Force killed 32 y/o Winston Smith as he left a lunch date. He was somewhat of a local celebrity due to his comedy sketches and also encouraged black folks to defend themselves and take to the streets with arms. They shot him and lied about him being a murder suspect for hours before changing their story. RIP Winston. RT info about this if you can folks. It’s being suppressed.

Yevka D

the transition music is so ffffing loud :(

Mike Malloy

Why does Liz know so much about Disney? She has displayed inside info on them before (praised the corndog at Disneyland)

A S

You know how Brace works for Israel? Same thing.

Eric Gilbertson

Had an unexpectedly hard time finding their channel on YouTube - the first link was past several pages of unrelated stuff. Suspicious? I think this is it: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYCmv76weLcHacxmoyiLXnQ

Does anyone know what the specific Zola Jesus song(s) was? I was digging it.

What a Hell of a Way to Die has a good episode on the Fort Bragg murders, and it's a lot more focused too

SF

Like another user above, I had a really hard time finding the youtube channel - in fact I couldn't find it til I saw the link in the comments section here! Kind of suspicious...

Great episode. Acid being the drug of choice at Fort Bragg: 👁️

Matt Pierce

I'm so glad you guys did this episode. I read the reporting after Hell of a Way unlocked their interview and IMMEDIATELY hoped that you guys would do something with it to tease out some of the threads that made me feel most insane.

Jake

Props to YC on the transition music at ~25:00 that was a spooky tune

kf

This sent me down a deep rabbit hole that ultimately led to this video of a military dog jumping out of an airplane. Pretty dope tbh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Be9WEKnEUr4 Fantastic episode. The amount of deaths at Fort Bragg is beyond spooky.

Izak Kennedy

The mexico tie to this is pretty chilling, i've been following the drug war there for a few years now (if anyone is interested Demoler_ is an instagram page that has a shitload of coverage coverage). The whole special forces to drug trafficking pipeline has turned several states into full on war zones at this point. The mid term elections that just past were incredibly violent and the situation seems to be deteriorating. Would be super interested to hear your guys angle on it. Recluse and the team at the farm did a fantastic episode on Los Tecos might be an interesting guest to have back

Keep

Is there a muted portion that ends at 4:56?

Holy shit the COD BLOPS lobby music sent me

Really need a de-esser on Seth's channel, ouch 👂‼️ great episode though

I’m surprised there was no mention of the Fort Bragg 0nlyFans tweets

natalie foster

this was a great episode, i'd love to hear more about dirty military shit in the future bc it's really such a fucked up place with 0 accountability

Eli Baumann

this really fucked me up man

Alexander Cabot

my father was in 82nd airborne and green beret. He was in Panama and Grenada. I was born in Ft Bragg. My father was a violent son of a bitch and that was him sober (he rarely drank). We havent spoken in now 13 years now. This podcast got me shook though because of things I witnessed and unfortunately was a part of as a kid.

Where can I read about the real “Somali pirate” situation?
