As a fashion designer the boat thing doesn't make sense for the process. I asked around quite a bit. What they could be doing on the boat is getting the pile of washed clothes and packaging them due to timing. However slave labor is a thing unless the company says exactly where their production is you're getting slave labor. As for prison labor it doesn't make sense with clothing. Since importating raw materials is more expensive than goods plus time consuming.. So its better to use other countries who approve of slave like labor.
