May Dormitory Diary Entry - Sakamoto (Patreon)

I recently went to a doujin event for the first time in my life.

Here’s my May dormitory diary entry.

The event I attended was called "Nijisousaku07," an exclusive event targeting "Nijisanji" (a VTuber group). I had never been to a doujin convention before – I’ve never even been to Comiket, nor have I ever really wanted to. However, when I happened to see the call for entries for the event, I thought I'd like to create a book about Nijisanji, which I love, so I decided to go.

There were a lot of unfamiliar steps in participating, between going through all of the formalities and procedures, finding a printing company to print the book, and managing my schedule well enough to complete the book. It was quite challenging. One of my bad habits is not getting to work until right before the deadline, resulting in me submitting the book just five days before it was due. Also, it seemed that I had to make a reservation in advance at the printing company I was originally gonna go with, so I had to change the printing company at the last minute lol.

However, on the day of the event, I was incredibly happy when I saw the finished product displayed at my booth. I couldn't help but think, "Did I really make this?"

Unfortunately, I didn't sell much, but the atmosphere was so enjoyable – reminiscent of a school cultural festival. I’d like to go again, even to a different event.

I'm thrilled that I could accomplish something so ambitious over Golden Week!

こんにちは！

先日、人生初めて同人イベントでサークル参加をしてきました、坂本です。

５月の寮生日記を投稿します。

イベントは「にじそうさく07」というにじさんじ（vtuberグループ）のみを対象としたオンリーイベントに参加してきました。

こういった同人即売会は１度も行ったことがなく、コミケすらあまり興味がわかずに行っていなかったのですが、たまたまイベントの募集をみて、大好きなにじさんじの本をせっかくなら作ってみたいなと思い参加することにしました。

参加するための手続きや本を刷るために印刷所を見つけたり、また本を完成させるためのスケジュール管理など、普段は経験しないことばかりで大変でした。自分の悪い癖で、〆切ギリギリにならないと本格的に作業をしないこともあり入稿するのが５日前になったり、もともと目星をつけていた印刷所は事前に予約をしないといけなかったみたいで、急遽印刷所を変えるということもありました（笑）

ですがイベント当日、自分のスペースにおかれている完成品を見たとき、これを自分で作ったのかとものすごく嬉しかったです。

残念ながら、ほとんど売れることはありませんでしたが、文化祭を思い出すかのような雰囲気はすごく楽しくて、違うイベントになるかもしれませんが、またサークル参加したいなと思えました。

GW一つ大きなことを成し遂げることが出来て最高でした！
