Here’s my dormitory diary for February.

Out of January and into February…man does time fly.

Recently, the anime me and my studio made started airing, so I've been looking back at the cuts I worked on and finding all of the highlights and mistakes in my work, as well as the work of my peers. It’s really cool to see all of our individual animation styles.

Also, I've been watching a lot of anime lately, and I’ve been impressed with how well-animated many newer shows are! When I watch anime with great action scenes or super smooth animation, I can't help but think how hard it must have been for the animators who worked on it, and how long it would take me to do the same cut if I were in their position. It’s making it harder to enjoy anime purely for the story.

At least, with regards to layouts, thinking about the various effects they used, such as lighting, lens effects, and composition, while watching can be a great learning experience! I'll continue to study a little bit at a time to improve and hopefully make it as a key animator!

2月の寮生日記を投稿します。

1月も終わり2月になってしまいました。

早いです、、、、

最近自社作品のアニメが放送され始めたので、自分がやったカットを見返して良いところや悪いところを探したり、自分が担当していないカットでも色々な割り方があって面白いなと思いながら見ています。

他にも、最近のアニメを見てめちゃくちゃ動くな！と思いました。 すごいアクションやぬるぬる動く作品を見ていると、原画ももちろんすごいのですが、担当した動画マンも大変だったろうなとか、このカット自分ならどのくらいかかるだろうとアニメを純粋にストーリーだけ見ることが出来なくなっています。

レイアウトに関しても光と影や、レンズ効果や構図など色々な演出の意図を考えながら見ると勉強になります！  原画に上がれるように、少しづつでも勉強しながら頑張ります！
