May Dormitory Diary Entry - Yōri Okumura (Patreon)

Hello again from yesterday.

May sure is hot, huh? This is Okumura.

Every day I’m worried about my clothes—I feel like I’m failing them.

My laundry pile stacks higher and higher until I finally wash everything all at once. People say that washing machines don’t have a heart, but I swear I can hear mine crying.

Getting to hear from my seniors at that new animator meet-up I mentioned has taught me so, so much.

I hope to see substantial personal growth from April to May as I think about and try implementing the advice they gave me.

I find myself talking about the passage of time a lot. “I can’t believe the weekend’s already over,” said Monday. “I can’t believe we’re already half way through the week,” said Wednesday. Time seems to be moving so fast that I struggle to believe that King Crimson hasn’t been working behind the scenes recently.

I’ve been trying to watch and dissect at least two movies per week. While I watch, I think, “Oh, I’ll save a photo of that scene to study later!” Though, I usually end up immersed in the film that I never actually end up doing it. 

It doesn’t help that I don’t keep notes of what I watch. I can’t even remember what movies I watched last month!

Something’s gotta change…

昨日に続きこんにちは

5月って気温が難しいですね。奥村です。

毎日着るものに悩み、大体失敗してます。

洗濯物を溜めに溜めて一気に回すんですが、心なしか洗濯機が泣いている気がします

新人歓迎会で先輩方から色々お話しを聞かせていただき学ぶことが沢山ありました。

5月は聞いたことを意識しながら4月の自分より、変化できるよう精進していきたいです。

土日明けの月曜日は、もう土日終わったね~と話、水曜日の退勤時にはもう週の半分終わったね~と会話をして、時間の流れが早すぎてキングクリムゾンされているのではないかと疑っています。

最近は映画を週に一本以上は観よう~と思い鑑賞してます。観ている最中はここの構図あとで写真撮ろう！と思っていても、観終わると浸ってしまい結局しないことがいつものパターンで、なんなら映画のタイトルもメモしないことがあるので先月何観たっけ！となっちゃいます。
