Meet Our New Resident - Aina Sugisawa (Patreon)

Nice to meet you.

I am Sugisawa, and starting this spring, I have the privilege of receiving your support. I will do my best to provide diary updates that live up to your assistance.

As a trainee, I'm currently practicing by sending frames back and forth between my studio and me for feedback.

I'm new to animation, so there's lots to learn, but that's exciting.

Still, in the midst of winter in my hometown of Hokkaido, I have yet to feel the advent of Spring, and by extension, my life in animation doesn't feel quite "real" yet.

However, I will be in Tokyo by the next dormitory diary update.

I hope the locals don't mistake me for a rotten cedar tree.

I am a harmless cedar and do not wish to be felled.

(Translation note: The Sugi in Sugisawa-san's (杉澤) name is the same kanji used for the Japanese Ceder Tree! They are making a play on words using their name.)

はじめまして

この春よりご支援賜ることとなりました、杉澤と申します。皆様のお力添えに適う活動報告ができるよう、がんばります。

現在は、研修生として採用していただいた会社との間で、作画用紙を送り合う形で練習に励んでいます。アニメーションは学んだことがないので、知らないことが沢山でわくわくです。

まだ地元北海道の冬の最中にいるために、来たる春とアニメーター生活の実感がわかずにいますが、次回寮生日記更新の時には東京に染まっている予定です。あるいは憎き杉の木と間違われ倒木されているかもしれません。無害な杉です。何卒よろしくお願いいたします。
