Meet Our New Resident - Junta Sakurai (Patreon)

Nice to meet you!

I'm Junta Sakurai, and this marks my first entry into my dormitory diary.

Contrary to the norm in this industry, I was never an art kid in elementary, middle, or even high school. Even in college, I pursued a degree unrelated to art.

While I was briefly considering joining an art club to find like-minded people, the pandemic squashed those hopes. Though I'd never been surrounded by the type of individuals interested in drawing, let alone animation, I've spent my time in solitary pursuit of artistic improvement through self-study.

Finally, I've secured a position as an animator. Starting in April, I'll be working in the company of fellow artists. It's a profoundly moving development for me.

Until now, the only artists I've known have existed solely on the other side of the internet in a league of their own, leaving me feeling alone, like a frog trapped inside a well. Anticipating that most of the people I'll encounter moving forward will surpass me in artistic skill and knowledge, it's a daunting prospect. Yet, it's also incredibly exciting.

To all of our supporters, I earnestly request your continued support. And to my fellow dormmates, I kindly ask for a warm welcome.

私も、キャリアには関係のない分野を専攻しましたが（文学と哲学の二重の学位）、今は通訳の仕事をしています。
