Hi everyone!
It's the end of the year and time to look back at what was created in 2023!
And of course all of this wouldn't be possible without your support!
It's that support that allows me to create all this fun art, animation, and gaming content for almost 4 years now! In which time I've been able to create so much fun erotic art and games for you to enjoy!
So let's start off with The Bindmancer: What got done?
A Skills and Leveling up System
A level-up system along with skills that can be upgraded over the course of your play. While the system isn't yet perfect it's a solid and fun foundation for giving the game more depth!
A Prisoner Exchange System
A smaller but fun feature that gave the player the choice to take on the peril of a punishment device rather then placing it into the clutches of a prisoner. Complete with fun animations and puzzles!
These also got made into an alternative means to free prisoners.
Wing 1 Boss Battle Event + Gameover Screen
This was absolutely the biggest feature of 2023 in terms of the Bindmancer. A process that overall took 10 weeks to create. A boss battle level complete with it's own gameplay logic, sequences, game-over animation and post-battle prisoner release animation.
I'm very proud of how this whole component of the game came out!
Keyboard Friendly Controls
And of course, making the game friendly for those who just want to play it with a keyboard and not have to use a mouse exclusively.
And Lots of small additions and improvements
And of course lots of week was spent just on bug fixing, system-improving, or just adding smaller but delightful features like a struggle-to-free animation here.
And then there's the Animation Packs!
But game dev is only half of this Patreon! Development on a big game is broken up by making some fun and interactive animation packs!
I did three packs this year and they included:
The Year of the Rabbit Exhibit
My first animation set focused on three characters at once. It came in a smaller number of segments at 12 of them but the fun of watching three bunnies wiggling and giggling at the same time was fun and unique!
I'm quite happy with how expressive this one came out! :D
Inmate Caroo
The first set to be focused on a male character in some fun ticklish and pleasure bondage. This set came complete with a lot of fun animated parts over the course of four unique warden bots. It was fun to put one of my OCs through their paces!
It was also one of the most dense narratives written for an animation pack yet!
Roxy's Tune Up
The most time intensive animation pack of the year coming in at over 8 weeks to create. It sported 22 animated segments for each type of genitals Roxy has upon your selection.
That pre-selection choice added a lot of complexity to the set as well. But to make an animation set that gave you some fun choices to make before started I think was a good way to push what it could be!
Onwards to 2024!
There's a lot of desire to push myself into making bigger and better things for 2024!
One objective is to get some art help with the Bindmancer. I need to seek out the help of environment artists to craft new level assets and get some new environments created.
And of course we need to create new prisoners, peril's and enemies.
Feature wise I need to create something to spend the treasure the player collects as well!
There's frankly tons to do! So we're not hurting for things to improve the game.
I have some ideas for animation packs but I don't want to spoil those. Its def a case to try and make some solid ideas before cooking. ;D
I think the format of 3 animation packs a year works well! They break up Bindmancer development and give everyone something fun and fresh to enjoy! And they let me try out new things I roll back into developing the game.
