Hi everyone!

It's with a big sense of accomplishment that I announce that the work done to get the randomized dungeon levels working is in the new playable build for those subscribed at the 2nd tier or higher.

Lets get into the details!


1: What's New

Randomized Levels:

The finishing touches was done this week for this big system. Now every time to load the game it'll generate a new level layout made of pre-created tiles. At the moment there's about 12 tiles but more will come in time.

And the interactive items in the level are also randomized as well such as chest locations, enemy locations and the exit portal.

The levels feel much, much bigger then what the previous demo presented and it's currently quite easy to get a bit lost in the dungeon.

Thankfully there's a new gameplay tool to help you!

Exit Portal Pickups

When you defeat enemies there's a chance you'll get an exit portal pickup.

You can only use these once you've freed enough prisoners. (3 at the moment.) by holding down the "T" button. Some extra flare is needed but it functions well!

It's honestly needed as finding the dungeon exit can be a challenge!


In addition to those the rest of this week was really bug fixing and stress testing the past months work to make it as stable as possible. Every object in the game now is instanced which should help performance.

There's also a quick loading screen before the level starts to help with creating the dungeon before you can get in there. 


2: What's Next

The first project for next month is getting a new prisoner type created that's placed on the floor rather then the upper walls with it's own method of freeing them. It's been a bit since I've been able to deliver on some more kink work so I hope to get that done for you all in the next two weeks.
