Hi, This is Muchi.


Out of the blue, I would like to share with you a local dish from my area. (Why? Because I just had lunch there a few minutes ago.)








This is a noodle made of wheat flour called kishimen. Kishimen noodles are characterized by being wide and flat, and the one in the photo is a particularly wide type. Usually, they are less than half this width.

Udon is probably the most common Japanese food that can be eaten outside of Japan, and kishimen is a variant of udon. (I have no way of knowing if udon is really recognized outside of Japan. I know that Japanese companies are expanding their business outside of Japan.)


Both of the kishimen noodles in the picture are served cold, perfect for the hot summer.


Wheat does not seem to be a good match for Itsuha-chan's constitution, but she will forgive me as it is relatively healthy and low in fat.




What? Why are there two cups in the first place?🤔
