Hi, This is Muchi.

For the past three days, we have been staying in Kyoto and Nara. Kyoto and Nara are ancient capitals of Japan, known for their numerous historical buildings. They are also quite close to where we live.

We often visit Kyoto, but it was my first time in Nara since I was in elementary school. Nara is relatively quieter compared to Kyoto. It was quite amazing to see the detailed architecture of temples, which I couldn’t fully appreciate with the naked eye back then, now clearly visible through the camera of a smartphone.

Almost all Japanese elementary school students visit Nara and Kyoto as part of their school events, to learn about Japanese history. However, this tradition is now under threat due to inflation and a shortage of accommodations. My sister, who is an elementary school teacher, seems very worried about this issue.

By the way, Nara is famous for its deer, which can be seen everywhere. With a deer-themed anime currently airing, it’s possible that fans might flock to the area!🦌
