I feel a bit guilty that my diary entries always end up being about how unbearably hot it is, but honestly, that's all I can say because it really is that hot.

Various places in Japan are recording their highest temperatures ever observed.☠

Every year for the past few years, I've thought, "This is the hottest year of my life!" and this year has broken that record again. And there's still two months of summer left.

Just a little while ago, as I was walking through town, I saw an ambulance parked, and a young woman was being carried away on a stretcher.

I suspect it was heatstroke.
