2023-07-13 08:11:27 To answer a couple questions you had... Ratchet got taken out early, he was aboard the shuttle with Ironhide (they were basically identical, Ironhide was red and Ratchet was white). And the movie (this one) was literally a continuation of the tv cartoon. It went tv cartoon -> movie -> tv cartoon picking up where the movie left off. And it's interesting you mention that Ultra Magnus was similar to Optimus... because he was, to an extent, identical. Ultra Magnus, as a vehicle, was a car carrier (seen only briefly in the movie) whose cab was just a recolor of Optimus Prime. So, basically, Ultra Magnus is what Optimus would be if his trailer *also* transformed to become part of a single robot. I had Ultra Magnus when I was younger and thought it was cool he was basically a version of Optimus you plugged into a supersuit. The soundtrack, of course, rocks. The CD of it is a must for me when taking a road trip. The music for the movie was done by Vince DiCola, that same man behind the awesome soundtrack for Rocky IV. And to answer an early question you had, the theme from the opening and credits is a souped-up rock version of the original tv theme. And I had the biggest crush on Arcee. I didn't care that she was metal and tall as a house, I was 9 and she was hot.

Great reaction! To this day, probably my favorite animated movie. If you're interested in delving into G1, it's streaming for free on Tubitv. You should definitely check out the the 3-episode pilot, "More Than Meets the Eye". https://tubitv.com/series/11/transformers-generation-1
