Best Sci-fi Romance ever imo. I loved everything about it, from the music to the script to the casting and acting! The saddest thing to me, which you hit on in your outtro, is that Joel has lost memories from his childhood that he can never get back. He can possibly reconnect to his memories that they meant to erase by listening to his file and talking with Clementine. But the memories he tried to hide in, those are gone forever...which you noted with the Huckleberry Hound song...he said originally that he thought her name was "magical" because he associated it with his childhood. When they meet again, he only can connect her name with its Latin meaning of "Clemency." So cool but so heartbreaking to think how Joel really woke up a completely different person! Loved it! Thank you!

when it comes to deleting memories, I was GONNA say, maybe I'd choose a few drunken embarrassing moments I had. but even those keep my grounded and what not for future nights out.. and when it comes to Jim Carrey movies, I'd have to recommend Bruce Almighty, Yes Man and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.
