A wildly schizophrenic movie - brilliant acting by Liam Neeson and Ewan Mcgregor, one of the best lightsaber duels, an epic John Williams score…but Lucas on his dumbass “it’s for kids” shit had to shoehorn JarJar in there, cast a far too young Anakin, snd clumsily integrated trade politics. Did he had a director and writers to flesh this stuff out and curb his dumber ideas, this coulda been great. When you asked the "what if" about Maul coming out of the fight with Obi Wan in one piece, I couldn't help pausing and doing a quick search... turns out someone actually did a video about that. In essence, the overall plot wouldn't change (in that person's estimate), it would just be Maul fulfilling Dooku's role in the next two movies with Anakin having the added motivation of wanting to avenge Qui Gon during their encounters (making his "We'll take him NOW" charge in the hanger near the end of Clones all the more meaningful).

I have been waiting ALL DAY 😁 It feels great just to watch these again. 🤣😝😆😎 I feel like Qui gon would have left the order but Obi would have stayed if they didn't accept Anakin. The reason the tuskens were there during the pod race was because that huge rock is sacred to them. You'll find out why later Yup George did say that R2 is the true hero and 100% agreed The fact that Ian Mcdirmid came back 20 years after the original trilogy to play a younger Palpatine hits hard. What a great actor and villain I wish Qui gon could have taken Anakin and Shmi too but the explosive in them would have killed her I love looking behind Jar Jar sometimes in that battle the gungans are going ham on the droids Yoda quotes are what I love most in this franchise Wars does not make one great. Fear is the path to the darkside Fear leads to anger anger leads to hate hate leads to suffering Qui gon's death to me shows how important a death can impact a character's decision

Going 1-6 again, maybe we can loop in Tales of the Jedi episodes? They coincide with the 1-3 movies so it'll give even more context to things

One more thing, I would highly recommend watching Rogue 1 after episode 3. It is great after watching the series.
