This is a book series, and adaptations really condense and change things in ways that are not always great..Case in point would be Jansen who got boiled down to just 'mean bad guy, the cure is mine to control' and Teresa's character was badly damaged from things not being well explained from the previous movie..Most of your irritations from characters doing stupid things are from the writers changing things from the books..They annoy me as well, but it's still a decent enough movie..I like the first one the best.. Enjoyed your reaction though..
