Couple of things I want point out and say. 1 this movie really got delayed because the actor that played Thomas suffered an injury from trying to do a stunt with that train scene. 2 in the books that blonde girl you see in the second movie was Newt’s sister and also in the books Newt and Theresa some how lived (keep in mind the books were made for kids). 3 I kinda saw Theresa’s death as like one of those moments were your in a life or death situation where logic doesn’t always come to your mind and her guilt completely overwhelmed her

teresa let herself die due to guilt. she didn't feel deserving to live after what she did. also she knew the cure *thomas* was safe on the airship. she she basically did her "job".

Yeah. Pretty much. She didn’t just died just because of no reason. Guilt weighed her down even though she had a chance to jump on the airship. I personally hated her in the second movie but I cried at the end in that scene🥺
