I’m not as fluent on my hunger game knowledge as I am Harry Potter but I believe the 13th district attempted a rebellion years ago and was attacked by the capital leaving just 12 districts competing but you were right 1 is the richest of the districts and 12 is the poorest

I cry every time Rue dies, so freaking sad! The reason Katniss talks to her mom like shes the parent is because when her dad died her mom kind of shut down with depression, like wouldn't talk or eat, so Katniss had to take over as head of the house until her mom got kinda better. Also the giant mutant dogs at the end in the book are mutated with DNA from the fallen tributes and they describe how you can tell who each dog is by the human features on their faces and Katniss ends up seeing Rue in one of the dogs faces, I always thought it was super messed up lol Cant wait for the full reaction, love your guys stuff!

It's been a while since I read the books but I'm 99% sure your name is not in the drawing after you win. You become a mentor for your district to the tributes picked in the future. So Katniss and Peeta will have to mentor instead of Haymitch. And that was Cato and the group's first time competing. They train their whole lives and then usually volunteer as tribute. Their districts often win because they're treated and trained better than other districts, being so close to the Capitol. And there was 13 districts. Every district has a specialty. I believe district 13 was like war and bombs and stuff? But they rebelled in the past and got blown to pieces according to the history. You'll hear them referenced every now and then as an example or threat to what could happen if you rebel. So now there is only 12 districts and the Capitol. I'm excited to watch more!!!

people from 1 and 2 win most of the times because they are the richest districts and the main thing they do is just train their asses of to win this thing. They actually want to go there and every year when they pick someone,there is another one that immediately volunteers,because they want to prove themself.
