Alternative May Commission Poll (Patreon)

Still plugging away on the final parts of the update. Got a lot done, fair bit to do,  and I'm hoping to finish it by the end of this week at the latest. It's gone from a fairly minor update to a very, very decidedly substantial one so now I just hope it's been worth the wait. 

Now though is the alternative poll for May.

For those that are new the purpose of these polls are:  

The idea with these ones is to improve the flow of art for the games by doing some more limited single character/two busts commissions on the off months while the larger commission polls will continue as normal. Used to do it only every other month before as commissioning could be surprisingly stressful having to often manage the constant delays that could last for months at a time among other issues that cropped up. Thankfully now having had so many done and found some decently reliable artists that's a lot less of a worry than it used to be.   

As mentioned in the Fortnightly last week I've decided to make a change with this poll and the new Direction polling I'll put up when the update is out.  I've had some feedback in regard to the polls which I'm going to experiment with in May.  

Now what some other patreon game devs who run similar polls do is offer more votes based on pledge reward. So the more you support the more bang you get from your buck as it were. 

From talking to some of them there's two ways to go about this. The first is extracting the poll after it has ended and adjusting these with a spreadsheet based on the tier of the voter. While this would be easy enough to do I find it rather lacking in the open visibility that the current polls have. 

They also feel a bit harsh to me in the sheer number of extra votes that the higher tiers get in some of the ones I looked at where it hardly seems like those on the lower tiers get to make much of an impact at all. 

So what I'm thinking of doing is running extra polls at the $10 and $25 tiers. You get one chance to vote per poll, for however many options you like, same as usual, but with the extra polls you can effectively vote for your favourite options up to three times depending on the level of your pledge. Note that all votes are equal, so a vote on the base tier counts as much as one on the $25 tier in the final tally. 

For Direction Polling this will work the same way with the main poll as per usual and then another one for those on the $25 and above tiers. 

To keep that all important visibility what I'd then do is every so often add screen prints, say once a week, to this main post so people can still see exactly who is in front and by how much. I'll always use the post available to all patrons as the main one with the others just being the additional polls to vote on.

This is a trial so I'm not totally wedded with this idea and I might go back to the basic everyone gets the same input regardless of tier if this doesn't work out or people don't like it. Of course if you do like it or have some ideas for how it could be improved then feel free to let me know that too. I'm hoping this new way of handling the polls will be a happy balance so that those on the higher tiers feel like they're getting better rewards than before, while those on the lower tiers will still get to make a reasonable impact and not be left out.

1. Healing and new Examine : As biomancy and corruption were two of the first commissions I've always meant for healing to get one too. Female Zharr Dwarf in a fantasy take on a slutty rubber nurse outfit . Would be a pov of her standing at the end of a stone slab to treat her patient using white glowy magic. So would be a tonal mix of her burning magma eyes, granite skin, and ominous dark and gloomy background, and yet contrasted with her outfit and that she is still kinda cute, perky and submissively wanting to help. 

2. New Common Watchtower based assignment, Examine, and possibly a playable start too : Lady Hakh Dwarven standing on a stool to help her look out from a watchtower at the horizon of the great plains, with a sensible top though somewhere she's lost her leggings and is absentmindedly playing with her pussy. 

3. New Uncommon Defending Ever Forest assignment, examine and playable start :  Big Savage Orc lass, naked other than lots of blue warpaint, very pleased with the freshly fucked backside of the new prize currently draped over her broad shoulder. 

4. New Rare Slaving City of Aversol assignment, examine, and playable start : Nervous looking Asanei maid on her knees with her jutting nipples just spilling out of her very frilly outfit, using the more specific NH design I have in mind for them so longer tentacles for hair rather than a solid crest, and a spotted colouration similar to that hypnotic cuttlefish from Blue Planet 2. Background ideally would be the bottom half of the big nice dress of the lady of the house standing behind her. (If I use her for a playable start I was thinking a new one for Whore Exodus)
