Okay this is being written the same day as I got back from a midnight screen of Last Jedi and I got in at well after 3am after a long walk back so this might be a tad more incoherent than usual :D

I really want to pre-empt anything else I say here by saying that this month is going really well so far and I am deeply pleased by that so thank you so much.  

So those controversial new fees then ended up not happening in a total about face (details here: https://blog.patreon.com/not-rolling-out-fees-change/). While many have been happy about this I do feel it's rather like burning down the house for the insurance money, and then deciding afterwards it would be wrong to claim on it, but your house has still burned down. Or to put it another way if you're going to drive away a bunch of patrons you could at least follow through with the increased payouts.

Still it really could have been a lot worse in terms of cancellations/reductions, and as mentioned so far this month is going super well anyway so I'm not going to complain at all I'm really not. I don't want to do a patreon so the new crit tiers at $2, $4, and $6 will stay in place so those that dropped down will not lose out. I have capped the numbers on those tiers so they're now effectively an early bird bonus rather than a way to deal with the fee changes. 

Unrelated change is that as I've been working on the new update I remembered the featured in-game patrons idea which used to be an old pledge tier back when I had far less clue about what I was doing. I've decided to bring it back and add it to the discord tier. I will be moving the list to a menu rather than the first bit of text as space there to make sure players don't miss stuff is at a premium, and as before you will need to say you want to be listed and confirm what handle/name you want me to use. 

Oh and I also added Ko-Fi to the tumblr on a why not basis. Alas T-Ea was not available.

  • No Haven

Got the hotfix out so that all seemed to go over well. There was a couple of things that came in the same day as the public release, but I'm aiming to do a much faster turnaround on the mini-update so will be able to get those fixed sooner than I might otherwise. 

Current plan is either to get it down before I go away for the holidays or when I get before the new year. 

  • Commissions 

Right so the artist on Toll Bridge is having massive traumatic financial issues, but they're so busy they're not ready to take the funds I'm okay to send them as they're not able to start the piece yet which is quite the catch-22. I don't particularly want to add to their stress at a difficult time so I'm going to park this one till end of January to see if they can sort themselves out, and if not I'll rearrange it to a different artist. 

Poll for the next batch is up now and the feedback on the options has been fantastic which is just great. 

  • Whorelock's Revenge 

In a complete inversion of last time round I have done an absolute ton on this to the point that release doesn't look all that far off at all. Even started making progress in understanding how to use CSS to make the game look better. There's still a lot to do and art conversion especially is going to take a while, but it's really starting to take shape. Very real chance I think that you might see the preview version with the first two regions next month unless there's some real disasters lurking in there that I'm not yet aware of. Because of this you're probably going to be seeing more WR streams than usual compared to just doing the friday ones. 

  • HMVs

No Limits at the Lust Shack came out to a really nice response. Got some wonderful feedback from other creators which was so great to hear. Deeply please by how it went over, especially with the edited music track which I'm well aware some were understandably not a fan of. 

Next one will be back to SFM and after repeated requests will be an extended version of All that she really wants.

The odd broadband issues seem to have sorted out hopefully so I can't see any reasons why these shouldn't happen. Have been having issues getting the wednesday ones done which I definitely want to sort out as doing 4 hour ones all every week on Sunday isn't ideal.

ignore me if someone has already had this idea but since the WR and no haven games are the same world and there are "bad ends" it would be cool if one of no havens bad ends put you in the situation of WRs beginning with the mannacles and such. them you could either import you character or it tells you to play WR. might be stupid idea or to much work to be viable but just a idea :D loving your games

That's actually one of the few casualties of the twine conversion. I hope to do something with that idea eventually, but it's certainly going to be trickier going cross platform.

ah yeah you mentioned the conversion in the stream. so its an idea for much much further down the road when you get them both on twine ;)
