New Ambience: Hellhound Alley (Patreon)

Greetings Patrons,

I should start off by mentioning that this began as a gothic horror track and ended up squarely in cyberpunk territory. However, I think this could still work as dark fantasy or sci-fi. As always, I encourage you to ignore everything I say about a track and decide for yourself how you use it!

Hellhound Alley is a dark city backstreet that is home to a large pack of dogs. Like most packs, they have a highly organized society. This means children, young adults, and the fearsome leaders.

The sounds of the alley are fairly modern. The hounds pick through refuse for scraps, there are hints of a modern urban location: bottles, newspaper, cans, chainlink fences, etc.

Musically this has synths and an orchestral string section in equal parts. It's probably the pulsing bass synth that ebbs and flows in the composition that lands it in cyberpunk land though.

This will be in sneak-peek mode on the site until next week so I've included the unreleased mixed version, as well as ambience-only, and music-only versions here. Additionally, I created 2 'no dogs' versions that could be useful if the pack has cleared out - or never existed. I also created 2 'no rain' versions, even though the rain/thunder is fairly subtle, this can also be useful if you're not a pluviophile.
