Greetings Patrons,

I'm disrupting my usual Wednesday release schedule to bring you a special post (Don't worry, I'll be back on Wednesday too).

Many (many) months ago, I got an email from video game design professor (and Patreon patron!) Dave Beck of Paverson Games, about producing custom tracks for a board game he was creating about distilling spirits. Back then he described Distilled as being a 'balanced blend of Wingspan (art and cards), Quacks of Quedlinburg (push-your-luck), and Brew Crafters (theme)'. After a wildly successful Kickstarter, Dave and I decided it was time to start thinking about the 'whats' and 'hows'.

We settled on a set of 6 tracks that were thematic to some of the locations depicted in the game. There are a few specific spots: A backwoods still, a cooperage, and a warehouse. Also, some more typical (for me) ambient-type tracks: Scottish Highlands, Asian vistas, and a tropical beach (complete with bar!). Musically these are fairly diverse. They range from simple violin melodies to more fully orchestrated compositions.

My hope is that, in addition to working well with Distilled, these tracks can also add ambience and flavor to a variety of other games and stories. As always, I advise you to use your ears and decide how they might work for you.

Dave has very graciously agreed to have all these tracks hosted on Tabletop Audio, and as an added bonus, share the ambience-only and music-only versions here for patrons. You can learn more about the game on the Distilled Website and I encourage you to check it out.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim

Hmmm, this board game looks very interesting! Seems to share a lot of elements with "Seize the Bean"..? Thanks for sharing the music, appreciate it!
