Edit#2 - Fixed the Music Only track. Added the id3 tags to the other uploads. If you downloaded these when I first posted, delete those files and replace with these. Sorry about that! - Tim

Greetings Patrons,

Sometimes, an idea will form and it will almost complete itself. These are few and far between, but I've been doing this long enough to know that I just need to run with wherever it's going.

That was definitely the case with this track. It started with what I thought was an interesting synth sequence. It had a kind of Steve Reich, mathematical quality to it. There was a sense of order, but it was also playful. I then managed to completely ruin it by putting way too much stuff on top. Fortunately, a day away from it helped me see the light, and I salvaged it.

Then there was this conundrum of where this could be. I've definitely done music-only tracks for the website, but I really do love completing the audio film and placing it somewhere with ambience.

For this one, the idea of the upper canopy of a city was what I couldn't let go of. So that's what I went for. Distant traffic, occasional helicopters, gusty wind. It's modern, but also cyberpunk, and could definitely be scifi as well.

Then I had a second thought. It would make an excellent exoplanet exploration track. Hmm. What to do? I tried both. They both worked. So..

I've included here, for patrons, a music-only version of this track, plus - both the city ambience (which is what's on the site), and a simple exoplanet ambience. I hope you find these useful.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim

Really like this! It's fortnitesque... more like fortnite for adults.
