Greetings Patrons,

For this week's ambience, I decided to destroy last week's ambience.

Where once stood flocks of sheep, and grazing cows, now stand twisted and evil creatures. Fields that bore wholesome vegetables now lie in rot. I think they may glow a bit as well.

However you describe it, this is such an iconic role playing game quest. It's a classic one-shot, or level 1 quest. And really, this can be in any system or genre. Running a sci-fi game? Well, there's something wrong at one of the off-world colonies!

The music is dark and foreboding. Layers of gloomy synths, wrapped in reverb. Destroyed, detuned choirs waver in the background. The ambience is also dark. Warped recordings of livestock and flies are pitched down, and mangled. Wind is processed through a synth engine to sound unnatural.

I've included both ambience-only, and music-only versions of this track, here, for patrons.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim

PS. I'm working on a wonderful new, recently Kickstarted game called Apothecaria. It's a solo journaling RPG by Anna Blackwell, and it looks really good! I hope to be sharing some of those tracks with you all soon.

The original track is an excellent piece of artwork, Tim, great atmosphere! I really like the separate tracks too...the music only one can be used for so many environments/scenes. I might very well be using the original Blighted Farm track for the opening plot in my next campaign. Super job! :)

I love the feel of this... It gives me images of a desolate farm that has been ravaged by dark forces... the aftermath of a battle. Will definitely be using this one!

This will be perfect if my Call of Cthulhu players ever visit The Blasted Heath :D Great work!

Super moody for Cthulhu stuff. And much more!

Taking the music out made it even creepier!
