Greetings Patrons,

As yesterday was the first time I had shared SoundPad files I forgot what I had learned in the early days of Tabletop Audio, which is that .MP3 files aren't the best for seamlessly looped tracks. The website uses .OGG files for SoundPad and only falls back to .MP3 when .OGG isn't supported by the browser (All browsers support .OGG today).

To that end, I've replaced the backgrounds attachment from yesterday with an .OGG version which will loop better. I'll also attach the file below.

As the other files are all one-shots, .MP3 is fine for those.

Best,

Tim

Thank you! I love your website for gaming or doing paperwork or just relaxing.

is there any chance that in the future you will be working with a VTT group to incorporate your stuff directly into their platforms, ie, Fantasy grounds, Roll 20 etc.

That's really up to them. I've had discussions with most of them. Currently only Roll20 licenses the ambiences (not the SoundPad sounds).

Any of the 10 min ambiences can be downloaded from the site. Bonus ambience tracks and occasional other goodies are attached to posts here. Use the tag link ‘alternate tracks’ to see all posts that contain downloads. This is the only SoundPad that I’ve made available for downloading. -Tim

Ok sorry for the deletes but I am figuring out the answers to my own stupid questions.. lol. Ok, I have a real question now. So, I am trying to play sounds through discord for my D&D group. However, the sounds keep cutting in and out. I have done quite a bit of troubleshooting- I used another sound board that ran through my browser, I played videos, and I had several different users test this with me. They all got the cutting in and out whenever I tried to play sounds and/or music from tabletopaudio.com through discord, but did not get any of the cutting in and out when I played other video or sounds from other websites. Have you heard of this happening before? I am hoping I can get these sounds to come through clearly so I can use them in my game. Thank you in advance!

Nate

As an avid fan and supporter of tabletop audio, and also as someone who has expanded my online presentation options pretty heavy in the last year, this downloadable soundpad is absolutely the kind of thing I'm looking for more of! More Tabletop Audio I can load into Farrago the happier I am! Thank you! If there was a higher patreon tier I could join to download more soundpad individual files or even just the odd effect and stinger, I'd do it in a second. Thank you!
