Greetings Patrons,

I feel like I'm late to this party. Having just finished watching  the Finnish series "Bordertown" and the Swedish/Danish series "The Bridge" I am now on the search for more of this Scandinavian goodness. (Side note - I cannot find a way to watch the Danish version of The Killing anywhere!) I thought I would try my hand at creating the signature dark, brooding and yet somehow propulsive soundtracks used by this genre.

This is a modern style underscore track but I think it would be very much at home in cyberpunk or drama of any kind. The ambience track is quite minimal and is basically traffic and wind and the occasional police radio chatter. It's quite soothing actually.

I've included both music-only and ambience-only versions of this track here for patrons.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim

Oooh, I really dig this. Also, I think you're totally right: would easily fit into damn near any noir / -punk setting.

I recently finished watching 'Wisting' (2019) recently, which is another good one. And 'The Loch' (2017), while set in Scotland, captures that 'Scandi-noir' feeling (as well as being obviously influenced in the cinematography). (Also, this may work nicely in my current modern-day occult procedural game, if I can ever get the characters out of London ... :-) )

Well, not really Scandinavian, but check out the soundtrack/score to the German series, 'Dark'. Quite good.

I think this is my new favourite!
